The UK Dragon East coast championship was fiercely fought
out in Levington on 25th -27th May. Poul Richard Hoj-Jensen
crewed by Tim Tavinor and Matt Walker took the title after
a battle with Rob Campbell, crewed by Katie Cole and Noddy
The conditions were fantastic, brilliant sunshine and great
winds and the races were hotly contested until the end. Avalanche
- (Mark and Mandy Wade and Simon Cash) took third place.
It was the first outing for Poul-Richards new 2012 model
Dragon, Poul was instrumental in the design of the flared
cockpit coamings so it was great to have his feedback after
finally trying the new style boat. He was delighted that the
boat was very comfortable (as shown in the picture) - as well
Poul has a Summer of Dragon racing planned in his new "Danish
Blue" including la Baule, the Edinburgh Cup and the Gold
Cup in Kinsale.
