A fine few weeks of Dragon sailing...
With the sailing season now under way in Europe many fleets
have recently enjoyed few great weeks of racing, reports filter
back from around Europe from many of the smaller but highly
competitive and social races. We would like to congratulate
many Petticrows owners and their teams on their recent successes
sailing in a diverse range of Petticrows boats.
In Denmark, Jürgen Schönherr took the Danish title
in his brand new 2014 boat, while in La Baule Martin ”Stavros”
Payne won the event in his 1992 boat.
Meanwhile in Oslo, Jürgen Paulsen lead the fleet home
in his 2011 boat while Tanja Jacobsen also sailing a 2011
boat won in Flensburg.
New comer to the class Pete Cunningham took the Swiss championship
in a 2013 boat, while Anatoly Loginov showed the fleet the
way home in la Rochelle in a 2012 boat.
In Athens Kostas Karageoriou won the Greek title in a 2007
teak on glass boat.
This is by no means a definitive list as many, many more
well attended events take place all around the world. With
so many great races it is not difficult to see why the Dragon
class is so popular.
